Mark Gonzalez is an organizer, a caregiver, a renter, and an activist who knows that the system isn’t working for ordinary people in our community. The son of a single mother who grew up in Section 8 housing, Mark became Chair of the LA County Democratic Party, where he organized support for laws to make community college free, protect our air and water, make housing more affordable, and safeguard abortion rights. After his mother suffered a stroke two years ago, Mark Gonzalez has become her sole caregiver. In this role, he's witnessed the failures of government, social programs, and the healthcare system in adequately supporting vulnerable seniors.

Mark is currently the Assemblymember for Assembly District 54.
